Irish Terrorists Attack MI5 base in Belfast

April 12, 2010

Reported by the UK’s Times Online:

According to police, IRA terrorists held a Belfast taxi driver at gunpoint in his home on Sunday and used his taxi to carry the bomb to the rear of a MI5 base in Belfast. The coming explosion occurred shortly after midnight and was heard across Belfast.

Police had increased the number of officers working on IRA terrorism after the murders of two soldiers and a police officer by two groups calling themselves the Real IRA and the Continuity IRA. Both groups are offshoots of the Provisional IRA which formally announced a cease-fire in 2007.

Acts of terrorism are not limited to the Middle East, Arabs, or Muslims.
